Aleksandra 157
Just wondering how many dogs you have.Obviously breeders will have more, and it would be dependent on personal living conditions etc.I have always had two at a time... :)
whitka
I only have one dog at the moment but I would love to get one more :)
tdierikx
Four for me... seems to be my magic number... any other number just feels wrong here... Although at one stage I had 5 Rotties... you can have any number of them and it feels right I think... lol! T.

Guest crazydoglady99
I had 4, it was a bit too crazy. We have 2 at the moment, its very calm!
Remarkabull
I have 4 but that will increase to 5 in 5 weeks time. I've had 5 before and it was a bit crazy at times due to having to keep 2 of them apart but the dogs I have now are much easier to manage. This will be our last one for a while though and we will probably only have 2 or 3 in the future.
Brandiandwe
4. Ideally we'd have two or three, but, well, everyone arrived who is supposed to be here. So four we'll stay till someone tells us they are ready to leave.
Dame Aussie
2 at the moment with plans for a third :)
Maddy
As of yesterday, I'm down from four of my own to just two (plus one foster dog) and the house feels very quiet and empty. I think you get used to the craziness after a while and it becomes comfortably crazy.
Ivory & Beau
Four. All big dogs.

CHA
I had three, but down to two now. I love having a pack but really only cope best with two as we take them away camping etc a lot and its easier to cope with just two.
*kirty*
I have four - three medium sized, one small. I like having four but it is hard work with full time work, kids, etc. Still wouldn't change it. :D
Guest Clover
Four but I'd be happier with just a couple now we don't do dog sports anymore. So once the oldies go that will be it for a while.
alpha bet
Four.... But I work full time with dogs so I'm around 24/7 - we average three years between dogs so they are all at different stages of their life.... love having an old dog around and the mature dogs always seem to help teach the young one coming up..... also important that I can fit all in the car at once but also all of them get chances to spend one on one time... To me the ideal number is - whatever you have time for.
Bjelkier
I have 7. 5 Sammys 1 Lab and 1 Havanese. It's easy enough, they all get along well.
CaseyKay
We had 4 for two years which seemed like too many and then had 2 for a year which wasn't quite enough so now back up to 3 which I think is a good number!
juice
3 , have had 5, depends on the dogs as to how easy it is. 2 is more practical, not sure I can narrow it down to 2 breeds tho!
Dory the Doted One
I've got two. It's nice that we don't have Home Alone dogs, but it's awkward when it comes to walking and training. It's too hard and not very enjoyable walking the two of them at once, they have very different walking styles. Willow likes to Go, Go, Go and Dory likes to Stop and Wee.
