Carita
From the Newcastle Herald... " A WOMAN will front court over the alleged theft of a British Bulldog in Lake Macquarie on Monday night. Police say they received a call about 7pm that a resident’s British Bulldog and Pug had gone missing. The Pug was handed in to a nearby vet clinic and staff contacted its owner; however, the Bulldog was still missing. Following further investigations by Lake Macquarie police, a home in Arcadia Vale was searched about 7.30pm, and the missing dog recovered. A 38-year-old woman has been issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of steal dog. The matter is listed before Toronto Local Court on Wednesday 22 October 2014." Loving my Oldies
I hope this is treated with the seriousness it deserves. The woman [allegedly] stole a living breathing creature and, as such, this matter deserves the respect that apparently it is so far being given. So many of these sorts of cases get stupid, supposedly funny and jokey headlines. Makes me angry.
Carita
I hope the results of the court case is published . I was incredibly impressed with the police to have found that bulldog within 30mins of it being reported.
Mercedes
Sounds like a domestic matter, broke up with a partner and wanted to keep the dog.
Dave-o
Sounds like a domestic matter, broke up with a partner and wanted to keep the dog. Ah, that's a different matter entirely. But I agree that people who steal dogs should be dealt with severely.

VizslaMomma
Ah, that's a different matter entirely. But I agree that people who steal dogs should be dealt with severely. Problem is they do not get dealt with severely. Social worker magistrates on the Bench hand out candy.

Mercedes
As long as it's a matter of both loving the dog and not someone being vicious with revenge in mind... You never know... Glad puppy is back with those who care for him :)
