Wanted: Scottish Terrier Puppy

Hi,

After some extensive research, my partner and I are struggling to find anyone with scottish terrier pups for sale. We have decided on this breed for it's nature and it's personality. If anyone knows of anyone or can point us in the right direction to where we could find some, it really would be appreciated.

Have you spoken to either of these two breeders who list availability on DOL?

Otherwise you might find it's simply a matter of putting your name down with your preferred breeder/s and being patient. I've been waiting 18 months for my next planned puppy and expecting to wait anywhere up to another 5 months or more. Breeders are listed here. If you have a dog show near you I recommend going along and having a look and once the showing is done politely approach a few breeders for a chat and to get a feel for them. If there is any chance of getting to the Melbourne Show in a few weeks that would be an ideal opportunity.

There's a Scottish Terrier Club of Victoria .. would be worth contacting them, I'd think. And the suggestion of going to the Melbourne Royal on the day they're being judged is a good one .. or to another show.

they have excellent Scottish Terriers BUT Scotties are rather difficult dogs (I love them but was advised to stick to Westies as they are more biddable and less stand-offish)
