sheena
These were advertised in the latest Dogs NSW Mag & my first question is "what are they treated with" Insect Control Clothing. They are supposed to protect from fleas, ticks & mozzies etc. Edited September 1, 2014 by sheena
Ranga
If it's the same as the horse rugs they're impregnated with permethrin, and they work on horses. I think they also make clothing with the insect repellant for people who work in the outdoors :)
sheena
I just got an answer back from them & it is permethrin that they impregnate the clothing with. I would think that you would have to be very careful having the items around cats & also if the dogs were to chew. I have just done my OH's clothing with permethrin for him to wear on Kokoda & that's what caught my eye when I saw the dog stuff being advertised. If I thought it were safe then I could just do my own dogs coats etc with the solution.
