Maddy
The cynical part of me wonders if perhaps this is going to end up being used by the AR movement to force their own ideals onto others. If an abused animal is a victim of assault or neglect, how long before a slaughtered cow becomes a victim of murder? Or a chicken kept for laying eggs the victim of wrongful imprisonment? The first example is really no different from the second two :/ Obviously harsher penalties are great but I think this is a bad way of going about it. Danois
No need for head banging dude - perhaps consider writing more than 6 words. That way people might understand what your intention was in sharing the article, which otherwise has very little relevance here.
Sheridan
The Family Law Act considers family violence to include 'intentionally causing death or injury to an animal'. http://www.familylawcourts.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/FLC/Home/Family+Violence/What+is+family+violence/
