JulesP
Well that could have made Amber pretty sick too. Could have caused her to have a fit. Tell your class that you can't tell my looking at a dog whether it has a medical condition or allergies. I don't know why people feel the need to go around feeding other people's dogs. Drives me batty. Heaps of people want to do it at dog school and I am always having to stop them with Amber.

persephone
did anyone see the plastic wrapper get swallowed?
The Spotted Devil
Hopefully you see "something" soon. I, too, would be beyond furious. Liver (or anything other than chicken) for my Dally could spell serious bladder stone issues. I watch him like a hawk as some folk don't believe one liver treat will hurt him. sheena
did anyone see the plastic wrapper get swallowed? Yes...the woman who gave it to her. Apparantly it all happened so quickly that by the time my OH noticed that something was wrong, it was too late. Only a matter of seconds...the woman had her fingers in Bindi's mouth trying to retrieve it. I would have thought that she would have had the decency to contact me today & ask how she is Others have ....
sheena
It is now over 36 hours & still no sign. She has just done a large "Pal" poo, but nothing. Still showing no signs of being ill.
persephone
sounds Ok so far then ...perhaps she threw up undetected?
sheena
sounds Ok so far then ...perhaps she threw up undetected? She has been by my side 24 hours a day since it happened. Either tethered or walking on lead & she is sleeping with me. She woke me up this morning with a beautiful sloppy kiss

Rebanne
one of my dogs ate a pear once, was a bit miserable for a couple of days and I was just about to take her to the vets when she passed the core. All up it was about 3 days from eating to passing
tdierikx
An xray will show up objects inside, and most importantly, the positions and likelyhood of being passed naturally. T.
SchnauzerMax
If you have a strong magnet you should be able to use it on the bag of poop without having to examine it in detail. Remy ate a box of staples once. The x-ray at the emergency vets showed he had chewed them thoroughly - no open ones to be seen. The solution was lots of soft food and a rare earth magnet against his bags of poop. Needless to say after 2 days his poop was magnetic!!

Gretel
Good news :) I know how you must have been feeling. Years ago a dog I was looking after swallowed a large men's sports sock I remember the nervous waiting and watching.
