*Avanti*
What great photos Ozstar. I especially love the third one that's your favourite with the little bird. :)
persephone
That little wren on a post is a terrific shot with heaps of "look at ME " impact :) Love the ducks and pelican going about their business... more photos anytime !
teekay
Wow, Ozstar. Well done. Spot on focus on that little wren. Can't be easy with such a small subject Great shot. What lens were you using?
CrazyCresties
Lovely shots and gorgeous one of the little wren! There was a 'birds' thread on here somewhere, I'll dig it out for you if you want to add to it :) Edited August 11, 2014 by CrazyCresties
Ozstar
Thank you all. We have so much wetlands around here and I love visiting them, it is always very peaceful and calming. The Fairy Wrens are so hard to get a decent photo of, they are just so fast. Teekay I am using a Canon 70-300mm L f4-5.6 lens, I love this lens :) CrazyCresties yes please, I have lots of birds Leanne

tdierikx
The trick with the Fairy Wrens is to just be still, quiet, and patient... they will come close to you and give you the shots you are after... *grin* T.
grumpette
Is this one a female Wren? It was taken in early August in the mountains when it was snowing.
tdierikx
Yep - that's a female Fairy Wren - a Superb I think... the Splendids are a little different in colouring. T.

I often see the little blue and back ones around here. I often see a little honey eater (I think) with a beautiful song but he is too quick for me to photograph properly. I will though. I love a challenge :D He is caramel brown with a beautiful white and chocolate brown chest, white throat and black hood.
