lululove Posted July 28, 2014 Share Posted July 28, 2014 Lucy broke her leg when she was 5 months old and after heading to a specialist to get second and third opinions it was decided that the best course of action was to put her leg in a splint to heal. The splint would sometimes slip and rub against her leg causing spot sores. These spot sores have healed over time but her hair at these spots never grew back. She's now just over 2 years old, so is there any chance that the hair would grow back? Or is there anything that I can put on the wound spots or aid in the hair growing back? cavNrott Posted July 28, 2014 Share Posted July 28, 2014 If the hair hasn't grown back in all the time that has elapsed since the splint was removed it's unlikely to grow back now. If the hair follicles are damaged no hair will grow no matter what you put on the scars. I hope Lucy has no problems with her leg now and is getting around ok. I would have thought that skin from scarring wouldn't have follicles ...they are killed during the process of laying down tissue ..It's great if it can happen though! Piercing a capsule with a pin gives you a tiny hole through which to applicate. You don't need to use much. More precision, less waste. Excuse me for offering a cost effective way.
