Kuvasz Breeders?

Hey guys I am wondering if anyone can explain the lack of Kuvasz breeders in Australia? Is there no demand for the dogs? Is there no overseas breeders willing to place dogs with breeders here? IS their purpose already covered by other LGD breeds? I can't see any listed on the DOL breeders page. Any and all info is appreciated.

I only read of one litter in 1999 from a 1998 imported pairing.

Looks like the prefix was Jager and they also bred Pumi but don't seem to be doing either any more??

I doubt if the breeders are still with us as Mr & Mrs Mallion (sp) were rather elderly at the time they were showing the kuzasz.

Jager was Mrs Palmer (from memory), she had Rottweilers, Kuvasz and Pumi but that was back in the late 1990's and early 2000's.  She had a few years on me and I'm getting on now too so I doubt she's still breeding at all. She imported all 3 breeds.
