Garlic In Dog Roll?

I bought a dog roll at our local vet called Tucker Time http://www.tuckertime.com.au/products.asp which has garlic in it. I've heard it's toxic though I was wondering if anyone could inform me as to why it is in dog roll. Is it okay to give in small quantities or not?

Garlic is great for dogs - many say it helps repel fleas.

If you know your dog has a problem with onion or garlic (previous health issue for example) then obviously avoid it, otherwise it shouldn't cause a problem

Raw garlic and or onion is the most toxic I believe. Cooked onion and garlic is ok but becomes a problem if fed in larger quantities.

One of my pugs once ate a raw onion with no ill effects.

Garlic as a repellant for fleas is a myth that arose out of a single scientific paper many years ago. Yes both it and onion are toxic for dogs and cats but I wouldn't worry about a small amount that is cooked.

I have heard that for garlic to be toxic (depending on the size of the dog) he would have to eat a whole bulb cluster. A little bit of garlic is beneficial.
