fluff1234
Hi all we are currently with Pet plan, but upon adding my new dog, despite getting a email quote for the basic they will not honour it as says its a glitch and want me to pay way more than quoted. All the prices have shot up and its now too expensive and they are moving my other dog upto the new plan upon renewal. SO looking for a cheapoer plan which is still good, is RSPCA ok? any others you recommend? thanks
cavNrott
It's not just PetPlan who have put up their policy prices, the other pet insurance companies have done the same. Do some research to see if you can get a better deal with another company. Make sure you read the PDS so you're aware of all exclusions. In my experience the price they quote is valid for only one year, then the price increases the next year and every following year. The renewal price for my two dogs increased by 98% from the previous year. I couldn't believe it! I'm stuck with the present pet insurance company because my dogs are now 9yo and 10yo. It seems the cut off point to insure a dog is 8yo. At least my dogs are still insured and that's the most important thing.

tdierikx
Most of the pet insurances are underwritten by Hollards... it is they who up the prices, and the various insurance companies then put their own markups on those prices. T.
