Her Majesty Dogmad
A work colleague has asked me to help a relative in Brisbane whose home situation has changed. They can no longer keep their 1 yr old dog. They were living elsewhere and originally had another dog to keep him company but now they've ended up in a flatshare and his owner is out for 12+ hours every day. He is barking and chewing stuff up - naturally, under the circumstances and he's still just a pup really. I don't believe he behaved this way previously as he had a lot more company. Can anyone recommend a Brisbane based rescue with good ethics? I had a look on Petrescue today and I have previously had Best Friends Rescue recommended. Situation is getting urgent - owner has advertised him but not found anywhere suitable - really need a good rescue group's help before he goes somewhere unsuitable. Thanks! Little Gifts
BFR definitely take surrenders and have a huge network up here now, which hopefully includes foster carers for new intakes. I think they even have a surrenders coordinator. It will be on their webpage.
