Ozstar
I went to the Caloote Cemetery today, it is a little old cemetery tuck away off a dirt road. I love the first 2 photos This one I call new life amongst death This one is Grandparents and Grandson, he only lived for an hour sorry for the photo overload :D Leanne

HazyWal
Great photos. I love exploring old cemeteries, I always feel quite honoured to be there and that someone is still reading their story...if that makes sense
Ozstar
Yes they all had German sounding names and a lot of them where written in German. I feel the same way HazyWal, although it is hard reading the babies. The was a couple without headstones and its sad to think that no one else cared enough to replace them even if it was only with a small plaque like some of the others had done. Was hoping to visit a couple more old cemeteries but the weather turn bad. Leanne Edited May 10, 2014 by Ozstar
RiverStar-Aura
Great photos. I love exploring old cemeteries, I always feel quite honoured to be there and that someone is still reading their story...if that makes sense OMG me too!! I absolutely love walking through cemeteries as I find them to be a very calming and peaceful influence -- especially when I find my mind or thoughts buzzing at light speed around my head. The older the cemetery, the more at peace I feel. Gorgeous photos!!!
Guest Clover
I love old cemeteries as well. I find them fascinating, but sad at the same time with the number or babies and children that did not reach adulthood.
