Guest donatella
I love Joanna Krupa for the work she does for rescue, she has a lot of her own rescue dogs and does a lot to promote rescue. I noticed her new PETA ad, bit sexy for rescue? I know it's PETA and they like to use extremes...but if I works I guess. tdierikx
It's still buying even if you purchase a dog from a rescue... just sayin' T.
mixeduppup
That's great, I'd be more impressed if her bed was fullof huge hunting mixes and brindle staffy types though. But seriously I think the sexualisation of rescue is stupid but PETA always stupid. Why? Her passion might be the smaller breeds, I don't see a huge problem. She's from Miami so I think the littlies are more common there? Kirislin
I thought angels wore clothes/robes  I suppose it might appeal to men and lesbians. She's not my type.
Her Majesty Dogmad
I might do my own version, my bed usually looks a bit like the first pic minus the supermodel ....

kelpiecuddles
It think it could have been sexy and classy still with a few more clothes on her personally.
baifra
Whatever... It's bringing attention to the animals which is her goal so kudos! If I had that bod I'd march around like that everyday!!
mixeduppup
I wa sjoking, Don. Any dog rescue is a good dog rescue. :D
Kirislin
seriously, it doesn't work for me. I'm not a Christian but I find it distasteful and I think if I was Christian I'd be extremely offended. It's confusing as to what they're trying to say. It wouldn't inspire me to rescue that's for sure.
Maddy
It's PETA, their ultimate goal is that no one will own pets (or any other animals). They're also disgusting hypocrites when it comes to the rescue of companion animals- their "shelters" PTS roughly 97% of intakes so the ad should probably read "Always adopt, never buy. But don't try to adopt from us because we believe death is better than the suffering of the being pet."
HazyWal
I don't think much of it at all. Anyone that associates with PETA are either brainwashed or not the full quid...or both, as Maddy said they are disgusting hypocrites.
melzawelza
Good for her for being involved with and promoting rescue but PETA can go jump. Loving my Oldies
But seriously I think the sexualisation of rescue is stupid Lots of stupidity around rescue .... same as any profession. I might do my own version, my bed usually looks a bit like the first pic minus the supermodel .... That was my first thought, HMD. I've been thinking of getting Ruthless in to do a session in my home of me and the dogs and the bedtime rituals, but I don't believe in cruelty to other humans. cannibalgoldfish
"Always adopt, never buy" ? Yeah, I guess that makes me scum for buying 2 registered pedigreed dogs.... I guess all those years of research into the breed (their good points (and their bad points, all breeds have them) and making sure I can give them the correct home (in which my pair of sponges have been lounging about in for the last 10 and 12 years respectively) means nothing right? Personally, air brushed bimbos selling everything from toothpicks to life insurance are a dime a dozen to me, so the Add doesn't really even register. hankdog
Haha DD you were the first person I thought of when I saw that first pic. I think you posted similar of your guys a while back. I'm not a believer in religion but I am a believer in respecting others religious beliefs and I don't find her erotic angel with crucifix picture very respectful. _PL_
Who is she anyway? I plan on kidnapping her yorkies. The poster, I find it really tacky. And I've never been a fan of rescue angels saviour type stuff either so add PETA to that and, no not a fan.
Aphra
There's something pathological about the juxtaposition of the porn-like nudity, religion and rescue. I know PETA is all about "look at me", but the visual over-rides the message - which is probably fair enough given that PETA don't give a flying ahem, buttress, about rescue. On the one hand PETA make such a noise about their care for animals, but are happy to treat women's bodies as so much advertising space - you begin to wonder if the point is getting nekked wimmen out there, not any message about animal rights. PETA have a XXX porn channel now.
mita
I thought angels wore clothes/robes  Angels don't have bodies to wear clothes, according to the church description. They're spirits. (I looked it up. :) ) So they don't even have bodies to go around naked in, like this lady. :) Tasteless use of a crucifix, too. But good on her for her normal position of showing off nice little rescue dogs. Love the pics of the dogs on the bed ... all safe and sound. And giving support for the pitbull.
