Goldengirl25 Posted April 28, 2014 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Sadly my girl has just had a miscarriage with her first pregnancy, I am so disappointed. We did the mating with chilled semen and AI. She was 4 weeks last Wednesday. I took my girl for her ultrasound on Saturday and the vet said she was pregnant but the puppies had not formed properly due to there not being enough fluid in the sacs. She is now back on anti-biotics until she passes this stage. I could see the sacs with the Fetus inside but the vet said it was just slowly falling apart. I am devastated as was so excited as she was showing all the signs of pregnancy and her nipples were swollen and pink. 2 weeks into the pregnancy she had the spotting and we're put her on antibiotics and progesterone injections to try and hold the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and gone on to have normal healthy puppies the next time your girl is in season. I am so scared to try doing another AI next time she is in season as worried this nay happen again. Has anyone been through this and found it has just been a one off problem.
