Badbee
My son and daughter in law have two miniature schnauzers, sisters they are about 7 months old. One of the dogs has just come back from the vet who has suggested the dogs has Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease. Has anyone had any experience with this? Would love to get some feedback. huga
Yep, my pug Lola was diagnosed with it at 6 months. She had her femoral head removed and recovered relatively easily. She's 10 now, has always had a bit of a skip on that leg and is also feeling it a bit more with age.
Bjelkier
A friends little dog had the same problem and had surgery to remove the femoral head. He recovered well and was up and running around soon after the surgery. He still has a little twist/skip in his gait occasionally but it doesn't bother him at all.
