Homeriver
Does anyone know if there is a difference with a bitch having a medical abortion on her first heat compared to one later on. Obviously not an ideal situation, and purely hypothetical after having a discussion with a friend of mine and I hadn't heard this before.
Dogsfevr
Depends what age the first heat is ,ours generally come in at 6 months so if they did get pregnant it would be a massive slap on the head for being so stupid & no way would i let a bitch whelp at that age
dotdashdot
When I was 10 we got our lab on breeders terms (to have one litter). At six months, she came into heat and a male dog scaled our 6ft fence to get to her. The owner of the male dog paid for the abortion then, and she went on to whelp 8 puppies at age 2. Six of the pups survived, 2 were stillborn.
oakway
Makes no difference as they could abort them naturally. Plenty of first season bitches are aborted as accidents do happen even in the best of regulated circles, not only do dogs get in some bitches get out. Yes, both sexes even after being locked in wire pens.
