Esky the husky
Very excited myself :D This weekend SA Sled Dog Club is hosting a sprint race. It's always a great spectacle. It's basically a drag race. We have 2 lanes set up.. Over approx 100m and two dogs and their mushers. Time's are averaged over 3 heats.. Being held in Bonython Park. Tumbleweed
What are Bootcamps? We have a Beginners camp each year - attended by both experienced folk and Beginners. Sessions are run on dog health care, scooters, harnesses, race rules and etiquette, making ganglines etc. Then there are mock race starts and short runs for beginners, and they help to handle dogs for the experienced mushers that do longer runs.
