What do the blue and red ribbons stand for in the corner of the box of the breeders advertisement?

how much you paid to get the listing, Blue allows you more profiles of your dogs to put up, Red have less, that's all.

That's a bit rough. My first instinct was that the red ribbon breeders were not up to scratch somehow.

I thought Troy was planning on changing this because it does give a false impression that the blue ribbon breeders are somehow better when all it really means is that they probably have more dogs.

Maybe that's what the symbol should look like - one dog silhouette or many dog sillouette? Or maybe a small ball and a big ball?

At the bottom of each page of Breeder Listings is the following.......

"The use of the Blue Ribbon or Red Ribbon image against a listing should not be used as a symbol of a breeder's quality. The ribbon image is used purely to identify the membership level the breeder has paid for on the site."

Perhaps the statement would be better positioned at the top of each page.

I understand what you're saying. Unless you know otherwise, the colours could make you think they refer to a quality rating. As in 'blue' being superior in some way. Especially as you see the colours first & the explanation is below. So I agree with Wundahoo, maybe put the explanation at the top, preparing people for what the colours mean.
