carolineh1
I've been discussing with a woman looking to rehome her 2 dogs due to personal cirumstances. She's found a new home for the chubby Jack Russell X but is running out of options for her other dog Rosie. From what I know - 5 years - pure Anatolian Shepherd - female, desexed, booster vacc'd last week - good with placid dogs, has lived with a smaller jack russel/corgi mix and recently trialled with a Maremma and did fine, although she and the Rottweiler clashed instantly - typical LGD type - aloof but friendly with her 'known' people - MEDICAL - degenerative myelopathy in the spine (damaged nerve endings meaning the dog gets weak in her back legs). According to recent vet visit, is not painful at the moment but will get progressively worse as she ages Does anyone have contact for a livestock guardian rescue? I'm leaning more towards an 'oldies' rescue given medical, as it's hard to say what quality of life the dog is going to have. Keep in mind I have not met this dog or the current owner at all. Her Majesty Dogmad
I think DOL Member Lilli helps the Anatolians. Do you have any idea where the original breeder was, that might be another avenue.

Thanks Dogmad - have sent Lilli a PM and will suggest the breeder route too :)
