samoyedman
Owner received a "nasty shock" when she approached the kennel to let her dog off its chain, only to find a python with a large bulge in its body.
OSoSwift
Why on earth would you have a dog tethered to a kennel outside when you have bloody enormous snakes like that!

Cody
Um, how about fencing your property so the dog doesn't roam. Or better still, keep it inside. Poor dog. Bloody stupid owner.

Maddy
If nothing else, at least the woman was sensible enough to recognise that what the snake did was normal snake behaviour and didn't kill it out of anger.

Animal House
Stupid, ignorant owner, why chain any pet dog, especially a chihuahua cross outside of a night? If it's any consolation, the dog would have died pretty quickly, pythons constrict their prey before eating them.

aliwake
It's unfortunate the lady didn't know any better, but I'm sure it would be a very shocking and upsetting way to lose a beloved family pet, so i really feel for her too. What an awful thing to happen!
Boronia
In the ABC news http://www.abc.net.a...-kennel/5321744 the reporter has said.... A volunteer from the Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service took the two-and-a-half-metre snake to a vet to see if the python would regurgitate the chain. The snake is still under observation and it may need surgery. Poor little dog I told my o/h and he didn't quite hear what I said, he thought they were taking the snake to the vet because they wanted the chain back. Idiot o/h Edited March 14, 2014 by Boronia
Diva
I hope the dog was asleep, the idea of it trying to run away and being held back by the chain as the snake stalks it is pretty awful. Stupid, stupid, stupid woman.

A chiX chained to a crappy little plastic kennel at night in a known area of snakes, she's an idiot and the poor little dog paid the price for her stupidity.
