This , another case of owner failing to care for dogs adequately.

I do hope the dog pts by rspca wasnt the black one in the pic...as skinny as it looks, it seems reasonably alert and bright to me...perhaps I dont understand rehabilitation of such cases.

Unfortunately RA, at the bottom of the article is says that the SBT was in such bad shape it needed to be PTS.

Sometimes they suffer organ failure after being starved. That is probably why it was PTS.

Thanks Kirty I was thinking that the dog pictured looked pretty bright despite its condition and wondered why PTS was chosen. I rescued a large breed pup in similar condition, belly full of stones...it made a full recovery.
