Rebanne
Just curious and thinking about where show dogs are often flown all over the USA and Europe. Often multiple times. Does anyone ever think of DVT's? Dogs are in restricted space, can't perform leg exercises, nor get up and walk around the cabin.
persephone
Interesting ..humans use that ginormous calf muscle to move blood ..dogs don't have a big muscle like that in their lower leg ..p'raps that helps?
kelpiecuddles
Plus when you sit on a seat for long periods it puts pressure on areas that aren't designed to have pressure for long periods, at least in a crate the dog can change position to some extent and is lying down in a position they would naturally be in for longer periods such as sleeping.
