valbitz Posted February 28, 2014 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Rescue groups – community fostercare networks, breed specific groups and caring individuals – have become a huge part of animal welfare over the last few years. They are compassionate, they care, they do the hard yards to save what dogs and cats they can, mostly working with volunteers. Rescue groups are showing that it can be done differently. High kill rates are not the only answer. To celebrate these changes Victorian Dog Rescue are having a community walk on Sunday 16 March 2014. Everyone is welcome - including the dogs! Bring a picnic lunch or buy a sausage and a drink!! Information sheets and merchandise will also be available.
