JessicaM
Hello as the title reads, I'm after some advice about my bitch. Her last season was 9 months ago back in April 2013, she has just turned 2 in November. Was planning on breeding her this next season (but she knows! Lol) Should I be worried yet? I am just assuming she is going to be one of those bitches who cycles once a year. Her 2 previous seasons were (first) Sept 2012 and then April 7 months after. What are your experiences (if any) Thanks for your time
Sandra777
What does her breeder say about the cycles of her mum, sisters, aunts etc? Cycles don't always follow what relations have done but often do.
Fordogs
My only experience is my now 2 1/2 years old she has only had 1 season and that was September 2012 ..........so it is now 16 months and still waiting. Strange though her mother has always had 4 month cycles .... I am going to have her checked out if nothing happens very soon. Sorry no help !!! Rebanne
it is common in my breed to have 9 months or so between seasons.
JessicaM
Her breeder hasn't had anything like this happen before, her advice to me is that she will come into season when she does. I can't make her but this could be inherited from any other part of her pedigree also.
