Kirislin
Neko's appeared fine all day but I noticed about 2 hours ago when I was walking them all to the car she appeared twisted. She was crying a bit too and it wasn't her normal excited because we're going for a walk voice. When I picked her up to put her in the car she whimpered. She was willing to run at the park until I stopped her but since we've come home she's just been laying down. You can clearly see how she's twisted. She ducked away from my touch in the places I've marked. I dont think it's an emergency vet job but I'm wondering who I should take her to if she's still sore tomorrow, a vet or chiro. My poor baby! poochmad
Poor girl! I'd be taking her to a vet first before taking to a chiro-better to first find out what you are dealing with.. They may need to do xrays which would also help the chiro if something is out of alignment.
persephone
ouch! perhaps she zigged when she should have zagged? Vet first ..in case..
Bjelkier
Poor little mite. Time for a trip to the chiro!
Rebanne
I'd go a chiro/muscle man first.
Kirislin
I'd go a chiro/muscle man first. I'm wondering if Des Fegan would see her. He's a qualified vet who then qualified as a chiro (I think) who works on racing greyhounds. He did see my racing whippets but doesn't want to see pets. I might try to get an appt. with him if she's still sore tomorrow.
megan_
You could also try ray ferguson at no ash vets - he breeds racing greys and does trigger point therapy.
persephone
tell him she's not a pet ...she's your BABY! ;)
kelpiecuddles
Just tell him she's a greyhound who is a training companion for your racing whippets, surely it's not necessary to specify that she's an ITALIAN greyhound :p "Oh I'm sorry, I thought you heard me say IG, well now that we are here anyway..." LOL
sandgrubber
Kidney malfunction? If so, you need a vet, not a chiro.
corinnew
I remember a vet said to me once that it is instinctual for dogs to hide how much pain they are in and that it's a survival mechanism. If she is crying then she must be in alot of pain the poor thing. Vet and chiro? I hope she feels better soon.
pie
Could be anything - my dog has those same symptoms when he has eaten something that is giving him a stomach ache or is constipated. Hope it is nothing bad and she is okay
Kirislin
And the diagnostic prize goes to.......................Pie! All was cured after she took a big Poo! She wont win any bravery medals that's for sure but I'm very relieved, I suppose I can honestly say, we both are.

pie
Ah that's good!! Yep cost me an expensive specialist vet visit once after the referring vet thought he had a spinal injury - now I feed him some oil and give him a few hours to see if it makes him come good- always does haha Amazing how sooky they can get
