Mummamia
I hope its ok to post this here... Admin delete if not... That's o.k. Can anyone advise as to where to find a reputable breeder or generally where to find french bulldogs... My daughter and her partner have been very disappointed in their search so far. The ones they have contacted so far do not seem genuine and someone who said they were in Brisbane then said they would fly the dog from Melbourne for them... So they said no thanks if they couldn't see the pup and meet the people first... Thanks so much for any help...
Danois
Why the issue for a dog being flown down? This is not uncommon nor a sign of a breeder that is not genuine or decent. I never met the breeder of my dog in person nor saw him in person before he arrived here in Sydney.
Mjosa
Hi, I have owned French Bulldogs for 32 years so I know who breeds genuinely good Frenchies. I know two breeders in Queensland, one has a litter of four males and the other had a puppy advertised here on DOL If you could pm me I will give you details, they are from imported and tested stock. Mjosa
Danois read the OP again. They said they were in Qld. and said they would fly the puppy from Melbourn
minimax
One of my pups was flown to me, I've still never met her breeder. If you only look locally you're cutting down you're options dramatically. But look at the breeder pages at dogzonline for breeders.
Mjosa
Not necessarily Minimax, there are good breeders in Qld., you just have to know who.
Mummamia
Thanks Mjosa... I will pm you... Thanks so much... the thing that was concerning is that the add said located in Brisbane... Also meeting the dog first is very important to her and her partner...
BlackJaq
Some breeders may not have all their bitches at home I guess.. Breeders' contracts and partnerships can complicate things.. But obviously I don't know the breeder, just thought I'd mention the various circumstances that might explain it... Did they ask for clarification or just cross that breeder off their list? oakway
Why is meeting the pup in person so important ?. :) Many of us purchase from around the world and all we see is a photo. The person's integrity that you are dealing with, I would think is more important.
