Everythings Shiny
Anyone know where I can get one ASAP? Two kittens were dumped at work on Sunday and I've taken them to raise. The little boy was given his wings last night due to him being so sick. Little girl is strong and has been doing really well, but she has cried all night wanting her brother. I had her in bed with me last night in a container as to not squish her, but she was still crying on and off. Anyone know where I can either buy one or even borrow one from? I'm located in the Hunter Valley Edited December 1, 2013 by Everythings Shiny
Kirislin
can you at least put a soft fluffy toy in with her. I know someone who raised an orphan kitten and she loved snuggling into her toy.
jemappelle
She needs to be able to snuggle so a piece of lambswool or something plush will make her more secure and more settled. The alternative is to find her a surrogate mother and siblings so that she gets the important socialisation she needs.
Trisven13
Do any of the rescues up there have a mum and kittens of a similar age who may take her on? That will be the best possible option. If you were closer I'd say to bring her to me as I have an older desexed female who takes on all baby kittens - once they arrive she starts cleaning them and then develops milk and feeds them. She is awesome.
RiverStar-Aura
What about wrapping a ticking clock up in a fluffy blanket for her? The poor girl
_PL_
If you can't find a surrogate I second natural lambswool, there's something about the smell and warmth. You're helping her toilet yes? Poor little orphan. I wish you luck.
Akayla
snuggle puppy - http://m.ebay.com/itm/231098720553 I have a feeling I have seen them in petstock but may have been dreaming :laugg:
aliwake
These are similar, and they have a kitten one, but not sure where you'd be able to get it at short notice http://www.nightcomforter.com.au/
Everythings Shiny
She has my little stuffed kelpie in with her and is doing much better today. She's toileting well (with help) and has settled better now. A lovely lady I house sit for has ordered the little one a heartbeat plushie for her - express post - so should be here on Wednesday. We've had a bad time with cat flu in the area and the only people with a surrogate with kittens of a similar age has cat flu in her place. I'd rather keep her with me until she's old enough to be vaccinated so she's protected :) Edited November 29, 2013 by Everythings Shiny

Everythings Shiny
Thanks guys. I'm really heartbroken as a very good friend and client of mine had just talked her husband into adopting her once she was old enough to be homed. I just wish I could find out who dumped Skye and her brother and wring their necks. It makes me so mad!
