My Grandmother years ago used to breed them but i'm not sure if she was a registered breeder of them that was back in the late 60's early 70's

Best dogs in the world I never understood how wonderful they were until I adopted my first, they are amazing little dogs.

I didn't realise they came in so many colours.

Am I the only one who thinks it odd that they have a payment button on the puppy page, stating "to make a non refundable $500 payment, click here"? Obviously without clicking the button I don't know if you first have to fill out a screening form or not - but I'd hazard a guess that you don't

Which is why there's often a question asked around rescue when the background of the dog is not known...."Is that a Tibbie or a Peke?'. Esky's been a great reference person over the years, re Pekes.

Tibbie breeders told me to spot the difference in their eyes & muzzles.

Pekes have round eyes, Tibbies' are almond-shaped. Pekes have folds on their muzzle, Tibbies don't.

I fostered one once and fell soooo much in love with him. Would have loved to have kept him but a loving home with other Pekes popped up which was more suitable. Beautiful dogs.

I have a real soft spot for Pekes. We had one when I was a kid, a pedigree too, from Little Lemon kennels. We didn't show her, she was just a pet, and such a sweet little girl.
