temperamentfirst
I stopped using all that sort of thing years ago. We use goats milk and swear by it.
OSoSwift
IS PUPPY GOLD BETTER THAN GOAT MILK?Goat milk is the absolute perfect formula for… goats! Goat milk and canine milk are very different, because they're very different species. Dogs are mobile, smart predators and their milk reflects it. Goats are, well, goats. It's as absurd to feed goat milk to puppies as to feed cat milk to a baby whale. Mother's milk is species specific, and PUPPY GOLD faithfully copies canine mother's milk without the use of trans fats. Interesting and did make me giggle a little :) I have never used it so can't coment I have used their other formulas and found them good, but have not used them long term as yet. temperamentfirst
Well based on that, we humans had better stop drinking cow's milk:-) I can tell you that we and all the other breeders who use goats milk find the pups thrive as tho their mum has heaps of milk. We also use a 'formula' of goats milk, yoghurt and honey which an excellent breeder vet developed.
OSoSwift
I know of many that swear by it, thought I would look up puppy gold, saw that and it gave me a giggle. Luckily I haven't need to use anything so have no experience with feeding anything like that to puppies. Oh and I love cows milk so nope I would never give that up :) Edited November 22, 2013 by OSoSwift
