Lhok
I think a good way to learn some of the dog breed names is to watch the best in group rings of the westminster show. The announcer calls out each breed of dog as it is being examined and then has a little bit of information about the breed. It is where I have learned how to pronounce many of the breed names :) --Lhok Problem is when the names they use for the breed is different. In North America (and only there) for instance, they call Pyrenean Mountain Dogs 'Great Pyrenees'. I did say some.. but I still would love to hear the announcer say Great Pyroknees :p --Lhok
smisch
Oh I didn't realise Basset was "bassay", although makes sense coz it's French, thanks! I think Lowchen is just "low chen"... :) And Keeshond is "kays hond" Lowchen translates loosely to little lion in German... but pronunciation its Ll-ow-chen Long L long O.. ;) personal peeve of mine hearing people pronounce it as they see it.
