Hypothetical if a dog is offered for adoption "with a level 5 resource/bone guarding" .... is this a normal thing? Dog offered thru an organisation/group .

I don't know what Level 5 refers to except with regard to actual bites, but it must be a strictly no kill organisation if that's what it refers to.

Dog stiffens on approach and exhibits one or more of the following:

freeze,whale eye, low growl, piloerection, exaggerated guarding posture (rear end up high and

front end low and covering resource in a very stiff and still manner).

Having known of a very young puppy being pts by a "no kill" organisation for resource guarding I take a dim view of it as a stand alone issue. What is contributing, how old is it, what is it's background etc??

It's a bit too hypothetical for me. What other resources is it guarding, how old is the dog etc

I treat any dog as if it might be a guarder when it comes to bones. Always supervised and fed separately
