Other Chihuahua Owners

A question to anyone who owns or is familiar with the breed. Our 1 year old chi girl Claudia has a weird habit of perching on my shoulder or draping herself around my neck and going to sleep. She will even do it if I'm standing, or sitting at the dining table.

Is it a common habit in the breed or is she a little different.

Here are a couple of pics so you can see what I mean, excuse my face.

I'm no expert, but have lived in places where Chi's are very common. I'd say you could get this behavior from many chi's if you encouraged it from a very young age. We tend to judge Chi's from the in-your-face ankle-biters you find walking around certain neighborhoods. But there are many Chi's who love cuddles and body warmth and will sleep when they snuggle.

sorry ... but I cannot imagine a pug 'draping' :rofl:

My pug is currently asleep on my head, he's not so delicate about it though :laugh:
