wayrod
Toll Air Express has followed the lead by Qantas for the requirement of completion on AVI Shippers Declaration for acceptance by staff at time of lodgement. TOLL AIR EXPRESS NOTICE TO ALL ANIMAL SHIPPERS Please be advised that it is recommended that you read this notice, select and complete a SHIPPERS DECLARATION FORM supplied below prior to lodgeing you animal for transport with Toll Air Express The container you choose is extremely important and must meet standards adapted by Toll Air Express as designed by IATA to ensure the safety and comfort of your animal during its journey. Toll Air Express WILL NOT accept any container that does not meet these standards 1. Container must be robust enough to protect your animal at all times and the animal MUST BE ABLE TO STAND AND TURN IN A NATURAL MANNER 2. The total ventilation area must be adequate to provide air flow from all four sides including the door 3. The locking mechanism on the door and hinges must be secure and strong to prevent any possible escape. Toll Air Express will compliment the securing mechanism prior to transport 4. Do not add any loose solid objects inside the container as these may compromise the safety of the animal 5. Label your container with your animals name and a 24 Hours emergency contact number in the event of disruption 6. Exercise food and drink, your animal will be confined within its container from the time of lodgement until collection at its destination, it is therefore imperative that your animal has exercised, eaten conservatively and has had sufficient liquids prior to lodgement, seek further advise from your Vet if unsure 7. Soiled Container, if your animal soils its cage prior to departure you will be required to return to the Toll Air Express and clean the cage, it is unlikely that a soiled cage will be loaded on to the aircraft 8. Sedating your animal, this is a topic for discussion with your vet as the medical implications are beyond those available from Toll Air Express staff Effective from 11th November 2013 all animals will have to have a Tae AVI Checklist attached when lodged. This requirement is nationwide. Regards, Toll Air Express Global Express Division Edited November 6, 2013 by wayrod

Is it the Vet Cert, stating that the animal is free from disease, and well enough to travel, etc, etc???
Steve
Well it came in with AAE and I was only once asked for the paper work soon after it came in. Now I still get them the paper work but I cant get them to look at it even when Im a bit pushy about offering it to them and its never mentioned. Time will tell if Toll follow through I guess.
