I wish the article gave better references. Though there are legit concerns about vaccinations, anti-vaccination nuts abound. I hate articles that make strong statements and provide no real evidence. If someone says 'research' has shown, they should, at least, provide some sort of handle that lets you check out the research. One reference to a book by a wholistic vet is not adequate by my standards.

All of my dogs get their C3 puppy course, then their first adult booster... nothing after that.

BUT - as I foster pups for rescue, I may have all sorts of interesting little bugs coming in at any time - and my dogs' immunities are stimulated by those small exposures regularly - effectively naturally topping up their immunity levels.

If your dog is not taken out much and doesn't come into contact with strange dogs or places strange dogs have been, I'd be titre testing regularly, and then vaccinate if/when the titres are low enough to allow the disease to do harm to your dog if contracted. Titre testing doesn't cost all that much more than the vaccinations anyways...

Steve, these two references say things I've heard many times, and I think most of the educated dog community know and act upon.

The posted article goes beyond this in its mention of CPV-3, and in claiming the jabs are actually giving dogs the virus.

If I google CPV-3, I find it's a remote controlled helicopter with three rotors. Searching "Canine parvo virus 3" yields the following about a new test for the disease, but no indication that the available vaccines don't yield protection
