megan_
The dogs have just chowed down on some 4 legs (ie cooked fresh) food that has been sitting in my car since Tuesday (didn't realise it was there). It was maybe 1/2a handful. What should I do?
minimax
Their stomach will know what to do - they will puke it up soon (or at 2am, if they are anything like my dogs). Edited October 12, 2013 by minimax
kelpiecuddles
Yep, just keep an eye on them. As long as they only get a bit of a mild belly ache i wouldn't be too worried.
Dame Aussie
I wouldn't worry, dogs eat much mankier things than that and get away with it. Just keep an eye on them, I hope you don't have 3am vomiting!

Just keep an eye on them, I hope you don't have 3am vomiting! ^ this! Dogs are well known to bury meaty bones and dog them up weeks later to eat them. They're basically scavengers. They should be fine. Just watch for any symptoms that might worry you. A couple of occasions of vomiting is fine but of they look flat and stop eating for more than 24 hours then take them to the vet for a check. megan_
Thanks. Knowing them ill wake up to vomiting dogs. Fergs will go outside to vomit but Lucy would do it on the bed!
Podengo
What they said, and perhaps get yourself a gas mask?

Steph M
Terrors. Ours have been known to raid the bin and take all kinds of things. Hope you've survived the stinky onslaught, bet dogs are just smug!
luvsdogs
Half a handful's not much shared between them, how are they now?
megan_
They are both fine, thanks for asking. My girl did the occasional stinker but they were both energetic and upset that they missed out on dinner.
disintegratus
Glad they're okay. My guys once raided the bin just after I'd cleaned out the fridge and happened to find half a cake in there that had been there for so long that it was just a cake-shaped lump of mould. They were fine :D
Nushie
We had a house full of family and friends over for Christmas and Jager decided to eat a couple of day old cooked oysters. He was not a happy man! He was lethargic and he could clear the room about every 15mins.... But the next day he was fine.
