sheena
A member of our club has a 3 year old BC. The dog has developed some sort of allergy which the vets have tried all the usual things with, like cortisone, antihistamines etc. It only seems to be effecting her feet & is made worse when he takes her to the beach. I suggested he get hold of some booties to put on her as it seems to be something she is walking on that irritates her. This is the first year she has had the allergy & has had it now for about 6 months, so that rules out any seasonal trigger. Nothing else has changed in her environment. Someone did suggest to him that it may be her tick collar (not sure what brand), but you would think if it were that, she would be irritated around the neck I know you can buy good booties from Clean Run, but postage is a killer...any one know of where to get them in OZ
minimax
When we moved into our house with floorboards I got my pugs some socks with non-slip bits on them as a joke, so you can get socks or more solid booties. Waggle has more solid boots: http://waggle.com.au/dog-boots-c23?gclid=CJLYq-n_8bkCFcRXpQod8nIAjg Or Canine Spirit http://www.caninespirit.com.au/categories/dog-boots but if it's just to protect the feet from allergans socks would probably work just as well, and are cheaper http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/non_slip_dog_socks
Yonjuro
I am not sure if this will help but, Mushers Secret is a natural formulation of waxes that forms a barrier on the pads. Failing that try Australian Sled Dog Supplies for booties https://www.facebook.com/AustralianSledDogSupplies

smooch
I use the ruffwear grip tex boots, not too sure how good they would be on the beach, I think they would get sand in them and rub the dogs feet.
Leah82
I got these when I took our two to the snow. didn't end up using them but imagine they would work well at the beach http://www.petzympatico.com.au/Pawz-Dog-Boots-Waterproof-Reusable-Disposable-p/b-06w-paw.htm
