What a cutey. How sweet of you Lasareina, thank you. Dyzney is in my banner on the right and yes she has a gorgeous gentle face doesn't she?! I had been biking Seven actually, but by the time the lady's dog came rushing over (and she was at least 30 metres behind it) we had finished and we were loading our bikes onto the back of the car and Seven was just on lead standing with us, very inoffensive. I am sure the lady was more taken aback by me asking her to call her dog, which of course had zero recall. I keep telling myself I have a reactive dog so I can't be a reactive owner but some days I think "fine all 3 kilos of yapping, snarling off leash lunacy, bring it on!" When I owned Rotties, I noticed that GSD people did tend to categorise MY dogs for some reason... go figure? If I saw you out with your babies, I'D be the one rushing over to ask for a cuddle... Of course I want to have my dogs attack another dog, incur large vet bills to treat them, ruin 3 years of intensive training with Dee and then defend a dangerous dog order for both dogs. Most frustrating comment was ' I think your dog needs to see a vet' because blah blah blah. Like what ever Mongojim, mind yer own and go have an argument with yourself about it in your own head. Jag is unable to give a dry kiss. When he kisses it is like you have been slimed :laugh: Dyz and Seven are far more clean kissers. Seven loves to koala you for cuddles. tdierikx Posted November 13, 2013 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Sometimes it seems like people are either "GSD people" or "Rotti people"... it's almost like some people just can't bring themselves to like (or even accept) both breeds. Personally, I'm not a complete fan of the look of the GSD, and the longer coat doesn't really do it for me as a dog owner - but I'm equally as likely to approach someone out walking one to ask for a pat/cuddle. But to really get me excited (to the point of becoming stupid), there's nothing better on the planet than getting myself some Rotti cuddles and kisses. I remember once going to a Dangerous Dog Handling course run by Steve Austin - and he brought out King... I actually squealed and said "wanna cuddle Rotti puppy". I got my Rotti cuddles and kisses from him and was in heaven! Steve thought it was hysterically funny that all I thought when I saw his highly trained attack dog was that I wanted to cuddle him - everyone else at the course were rather apprehensive of King - especially after he demonstrated his arm work... errr! Seriously though Dyzney - all of your dogs are even prettier and more cuddlesome than King was... I wouldn't be able to contain myself if I saw you out with them... I'm a complete Rotti "tragic"... A dog trainer I used to work with owned both Rotties and GSD but announced on every occasion she could that all Pit Bulls and AmStaffs need a bullet. I heard her call them 'f**king disgusting things' and all sorts of really vicious language on many an occasion, and she refused to train them. Always perlexed me seeing as she owned GSD and Rotties, breeds that have both been in the position the 'Pit Bull' is in in the past (with GSD actually being restricted for 40 years in this country). Although my last dog was quite pointy faced just hidden by fur and then there's always Stan. I guess it's just a hardwired preference because I also don't particularly like all-white dogs either, throw on a patch and I'm all theirs.
