westiemum
Yep getting Sarah onto IV fluids really quickly was critical. For me the scariest part was how fast she went downhill. Seemed fine at breakfast and then in real trouble an hour later IIRC. The lesson I learnt is not to dilly dally or muck around but but get straight to the vet if there's any hint it could be HGE. knitmehappy
The vet continues to be concerned about Buddy, he's very subdued. She's thinking he may have an obstruction now even though yesterdays xray was clear. So now we wait

knitmehappy
Well, it doesn't look like an obstruction yay! But still in hospital, had more bloody diarrhoea and is continuing with the fluids and antibiotics. Thr vet thinks he's picking up and hopefully will be coming home tomorrow :)
knitmehappy
He's home now :) skinny and ravenous. I spoke to 3 vets over the week at the clinic, all of them vague about whether I can expect this to happen again. Anyone know? Guest donatella
Glad to hear he's home and made it through his second bout. As for prevention I cant tell you I'm sorry. Hopefully someone else has tips for you but I'm glad he's home and well
