_PL_
bump. I think the morale of everyone involved is very low at this stage. Poor Eddie.

BC Crazy
Me too.... It is really quite hot today I do hope he is all right where ever he is. It has been awhile now.
Little Gifts
I check in every day in the hope he has been at least sighted again. This is just one small but terribly painful part of rescue. I so hope someone has simply taken him in.

~Anne~
Still keeping the faith he will be found. If I was in the area I'd go and help look for him. The poor little guy.
BC Crazy
Me too. I kept an eye out everywhere for him & walked my guys legs off when Eddie was suspected of being in a 2 hour radius of where I live. You just never know.
_PL_
Eddie's family had a call today: Coles Supermarkets are sending Eddie's poster for display in all their stores covering the area from where he went missing up to home in Taree! Thank you Coles!!

Little Gifts
They had a recent canine related PR disaster so I am very pleased to see they are doing this!
Steph M
Not to derail, but dare I ask what the disaster was? I;m genuinely curious.
_PL_
I missed the disaster too. :) But glad it's given some motivation.
Little Gifts
I can't remember it fully but some vet or animal specialist wrote a pamphlet for Coles advising families looking for a new pet to avoid terrier breeds. A dog lover got a copy of the pamphlet when shopping and circulated it. There was a call by the people boycotting Qantas for their decision not to fly staffords (or maybe Am Staffs?) to also boycott Coles - it was happening at the same time. Some of the FB messages to Coles from families who owned SBT's in particular were brutal. Coles responded but I didn't think their response was good enough so I doubt others did either. Sorry, I have fluffy brain again today.
_PL_
Ouch! No terriers would eliminate half their pet supply shoppers. No wonder it wasn't popular.
Steph M
Hahaha that's insanity. How stupid.
Little Gifts
And you ought to have seen all the pics people posted of their 'staffies' sucking on kids dummies with babies lying on top of them and the like. Epic Fail on Coles part. I bet they don't use that 'expert' again!
Plan B
Coles are actually really good and supportive of dog related charities. That piece was done by a vet who clearly has no idea and, really, shouldn't have been used - but it was and these things happen. The responses from some 'advocates' did far more damage than anything printed in a Coles brochure. I get so frustrated with some who feel the need to bully others into conforming. That stereotype about owners of some breeds just gets enforced. There's a way to point out something without resorting to aggressive behaviour.
