Boxbright
Bailey is home, still can't walk but she is not in pain. She is as bright as a button and they are confident she will start to move her legs in the next few days. I am very lucky my boss is allowing me to bring her to work with me as well. Big sigh of relief
ari.g
Must be such a relief for you to have her home. Big hugs for Bailey :D Hope you starts to get movement in her legs soon. Edited August 20, 2013 by ari.g
Salukifan
Bailey is eating and drinking, tail has moved slightly but still no movement in legs. Appears brighter and barking at staff to play with her. Mostly good signs so far Glad to hear she is home. If you've never thought about some Bowen therapy, now might be a good time! Boxbright
She is trying so hard to pull herself around. We had to put her back in her crate to get her to settle down.
RuralPug
Bless her! Young boxers are so energetic, like coiled springs - even temporary paralysis won't stop them!
luvsdogs
Sending healthy vibes to Bailey & hope she's soon able to walk & run around like a puppy should.
Boxbright
Woohoo squeezed Baileys toes and she pulled her legs back, then she pulled herself up in a sitting position and managed to drag herself over to my daughter. Now the poor little thing is beat. She had such a ball at my work today, so many people from policelink and smart service qld to fuss over her. She certainly didnt lack company. aliwake
That's such great news! It's so heartbreaking when your baby is sick - I really feel for you. Hope he keeps improving really quickly!
Tassie
That sounds like really encouraging progress. I can just imagine the attention Bailey got at your work - bet she made a lot of people's day :D . Good wishes for continued recovery.
Yonjuro
Great news Bailey is coming around. It must be so hard dealing with this but it sounds like you are doing a great job. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
Mrs Rusty Bucket
What is it about Brisbane... I'm scared to take my dog there, and she's certainly not getting off lead... Cane toads, paralysis ticks, bat Hendra disease, and now rat lung disease from snail trails - ARRGGGHHHH..... How do you Brisbanites manage to keep your dogs healthy? Boxbright
Bailey just took about 6 steps using both hind legs on her own. Gammy wobbly cute steps but she did it all on her own.

Boxbright
If it wasn't for the love and encouragement my work colleagues and also the staff at smart service qld have been giving her over the last two days I really don't think she would be where she is now. No one gave up on her and she has had hundreds of people (that's no exaggeration) fussing over her. It's been amazing, I don't know whats been better therapy, the people for Bailey or Bailey for the people.

Jed
How is Bailey now? And is it rat lungworm disease, or neo? Hope she is improving
Boxbright
It takes up to 20 days to get results back. She is walking which the vet is surprised at but they are not sure how well she will recover ie no show ring or agility for her now
Jed
Main thing is that she does recover, so that sounds very hopeful. Were you planning to show her, or do obedience? She might surprise you!! Sending her good vibes, and would love to know what she has when the results are in
