I'm absolutely chuffed at how Dixie the Whistling Kite came out - tracking a bird zooming about with 2kg of camera handheld is hard work!

Awwww, look at the tiny bubba! Love the photo of the large wrinkly hand holding the tiny little foot. Love the close up of the Zebra but the bird photo is just spectacular! You could count every feather if you wanted. Thanks for sharing :D

Just a quick question. By memory the tigers are behind the thick glass walls aren't they at Taronga Zoo ?? I was there last nov ( 2012) loved it as the time before that was in 1977. It has changed so much ( for the animals better. No more cement cages) love your photos. I got some decent pics of the tigers also. Keep it up. biggrin.gif

Yes - the tigers and lions at Taronga are behind thick glass... which I wish they would clean on the inside more often... grrr.

I've heard a rumour that they may soon be upgrading the big cat areas again...

If you want to see the best tiger exhibit ever... go visit Symbio (in Helensburgh)... Taronga's bit cat enclosures look positively tiny and inadequate in comparison to Symbio's. Symbio are also getting lions, cheetahs, and lemurs hopefully in the next 12 months... yay!
