More Dog Fighting

 Share

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to make people aware there is a major dog fighting ring going on in the Seaford, Frankston and Mornington Peninsula areas. Many local dogs have recently started to go missing mostly staffy and staffyx's.

Crime stoppers have released a photo of a suspect and it is known to have recently been happening in a Seaford factory.

If anyone living down this way see's anything suspicious at all please report it.

Sorry but I would be taking it a bit more seriously, I live in the area and dogs are going missing. How do you explain the recently found dog that had half its face mauled and was left to die with a garbage bag tied around its head? It was near a park where confirmed sightings of dog fights have been.

Last year in Tootgarook there was a staffy found mauled with a bag tied around it's head. The police were investigating possible dog fighting in the area. I'm not sure if this is the same incident you are referring to, or whether it's happened again since - I hope not.

I didn't make that up  If the police are saying its not happening then thats probably pretty credible.

These same scenario's pop up all around the world from time to time.

That was quite awhile ago. February 2012 isn't that recent.

RSPCA Victoria has had suspicions about dog fighting in Victoria's south-east:

http://www.theage.co...0221-1tlqk.html

Thats 17 months ago. Perhaps the updated reports from this month might be a bit more relevant?

I deliberately used past tense.. 'has had'. Saying that the RSPCA's suspicions were published in the past... & the article has a date. They were then taking the matter seriously & had some degree of certainty, involving the south-east.

Which means that the RSPCA Victoria would be a good source to enquire if there's any current up-dated information, especially about that same area. There's been a long time in-between for further playing out of that investigation.

Phone them up & ask.

Apparently two American bulldogs were stolen from Mt Martha yesterday, one was found today covered in bite marks and blood the other is yet to be found.

Also two beagles stolen today from Mt Eliza.

How do they know the dogs were stolen? Pretty sure it said the owners of the bulldogs were away? Bite marks and blood can mean many things, dog fighting being on the bottom of the list.
