Carry To School?

Great socialisation at schools. I used to live opposite one & always took my pups over to get a fuss. The children love them. Pup will love it. He can hold on not going to the toilet for 2 hours.

I would never leave a pup outside while I am not home although many do.

Pup would love it, though many schools have a policy these days that state that dogs are not allowed to enter the school grounds. If this is the case would you be able to stand outside the school with pup and let your child come to you?

The fact that he wouldnt be there when I get home

He will of dug his way out!

any reason why he can't be left in the back yard with a bone ?

Or the kitchen, then? Somewhere with a tiled or lino floor, and a door that closes?

So you're not treating him as an individual, but as a breed? Has he displayed any of those behaviours?

There is absolutely no reason on earth to assume your pup will display any of the behaviours of your previous dog.

Whole different scenario, breeding, environment, upbringing.

Its not normal behaviour for any dog of any breed to be how your previous dog was & I know a few samoyeds & none are even remotely like that.

Maybe part of the problems is that you are stressing because of your last dog & not even realising that you are. Start with an open mind & fresh view of your puppy.

The safety of a 10 week old puppy of any breed with a bone alone in a yard without anyone home would not be something I could relax about so I am with you on that one.

Try & treat puppy like an individual not his breed.

No for all the behaviours you have been asking about, such as the stressing, AND about the carrying to school.

Lines differ. They can tell you a lot about your individual dog.
