I took this a couple of days ago ... not a perfect shot ..BUT I was amazed at the formation :D (taken from a moving tinny , handheld , tamron 70-300mm)

This little sucker was flying around my feet when I walked, if I stopped it went away and came back a soon as I started moving again. The wind was blowing hard and it was obviously eating critturs I was kicking up. Very small and very fast and I took about 40 shots to get these two.

We've had the pleasure of a dozen or so Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoos visiting over the past couple of weeks to feed on the Cape Lilac trees. They are a raucous bunch, but so wonderful to see with their flash of red on the tail :)

These are AMAZING!!!!!! Wonderful photos everyone.

That head on of the cocky CC How the hell did you manage that! It looks like an attack cocky.

And the pelicans on the water, there's always something so tranquil looking about them.

I'm envious of the raptor shots too.

They were in the trees for a while and I just managed to get some shots as they took off - this one swooped down low and over my head, but not quite head on :)
