Kirislin
Neko and Arkey come from good breeding. This is their nana Meece, Roskyle Petit Fleur. She came to the IG play day yesterday and I managed to get some photos of her where she wasn't asleep under a doona. She's 12 years old now and has the old dog standy up ears, but she's still beautiful to my eye. She won BOB at the Royal Melb in 2007 and she can still do that beautiful floating extended trot just free, without being strung up on a show leash. My photos dont do her movement justice. 5F6A5608dppt by kirislin, on Flickr I love her big dark eyes too. 5F6A5637dpp by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5603dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5600dpp by kirislin, on Flickr

I really enjoy looking through your photos in here and just love the 'fruit bat' one  Meece is a gorgeous old lady - such beautiful eyes :) Thanks CC. :D Meece does have beautiful eyes. I see alot of IGs with smallish eyes but I prefer great big liquid ones like hers that melt my heart.

Kirislin
We all got together for their 1st birthday, a couple of months ago now. Here's Milton and Arkey, they remembered each other of course and immediately started trying to figure out who was the fastest. Kirislin
I took the dogs to the beach yesterday. Neko's never been before. If she could swear I think I know what she'd be saying here when she shows her alarm at seeing the waves coming in for the first time. IMG_0626dppt by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_0627dpptt by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_0648dpp by kirislin, on Flickr she started to relax after a bit though IMG_0633dppt by kirislin, on Flickr and then to explore, and everything was interesting. tdierikx
Hahaha at the 3rd pic! Did they eat much of the seaweed? T.
Kirislin
No seaweed, I had to stop them from eating a few unrecognisable dead things and Neko swallowed some sea water.
Kirislin
Poor Neko. She's going to a show tomorrow and I dont normally bath her before hand, in fact, she's only ever had one bath in her life, so I thought it was about time she had another. Marcus tells me he washes his dogs in the shower with him, so I thought I'd try it with her. Well!! She's just had the most traumatic experience of her short life! She stood forlornly as the water started hitting her like she was trapped outside in a heavy downpour, then she started letting out pitiful little squeaks. I tried to talk in a happy reassuring voice and I wet her all over and sudsed her up. When I wet her head she completely collapsed on the floor. I rinsed her off and then had to quickly finish my own shower. While I was washing myself she stool on her hind legs and flattened herself against the tiles with even her underjaw flattened against the tiles, and she squeaked. Tag and Puck were so worried about their little sister that they stood outside the bathroom door and cried too! Of course as soon as I got her out and towelled her dry she was then super excited to tell the boys and Feather about her near death experience and how happy she was to be alive. HazyWal
Awww poor little chicken Are you sure it was the water that traumatised her? :p I usually apologise to mine if they see me getting out of the shower, they don't really need to see that

Kirislin
At last!!! I've tried so many times to get a shot of Neko at full stretch and finally I got one. I've suspected almost as long as I've had her that somethings not quite right as she's always seemed like she couldn't stretch out. I've spent $100's taking her to vets, chiros and osteopath and although I'm still not convinced she's fully OK, I think we're getting somewhere. So this is what she looks like when she REALLY tries. Isn't she cute, no laughing you full size greyhound people. Neko Full Stretch by kirislin, on Flickr

I tell mine that I am so grateful they don't have any concept of human beauty, otherwise they would sure be looking for somewhere else to live.  The photos, as always, just show us how beautiful, healthy, happy and loved your dogs and Neko's siblings are, Kirislin. So beautiful.
