Easy To Use Editing Program

I would love some advice on which would be a nice user friendly ( hopefully not too costly) program for editing photos :)

There are stacks of freebies !! It's just amatter of which one you enjoy and can use for what you want :)

Shall try to combine both apps and computer program for some, will check them out tomorrow when I'm back on the laptop :)

If you have a Canon camera it comes with free editing programs. Basic, nothing real fancy, but you can sharpen, straighten, adjust colour, contrast, saturation, white balance, clone, and HDR, and probably a whole lot of stuff I haven't used.

I downloaded the trial of Sagelight and its great, now to get more out of my camera. I have a Nikon SLR but its quite a few years old now so would love to upgrade. Will see if I can get more out of my current one but would love something great for dogs and kids :)
