Places To Go Along The East Coast With Dogs

We have a caravan for a week and four of those days will be spent travelling from Melbourne back home just south of Nowra. I'm thinking of spending a couple of nights in one place and then moving further on. Maybe Cape Conran and then either Eden or Narooma. Can anyone give any pointers for good things to do around these areas with or without dogs that will keep my busy kids occupied. We'll take the dogs most places with us but if we want to do a walk in one of the national parks they'll stay in the van quite happily. Any suggestions for places to stay? Cape Conran has dog friendly caravan sites and two other options i have found are Eden caravan park and Mystery Bay camp ground, feedback or alternative suggestions greatly appreciated.
