border-collie4eva
So my first obedience trial is coming up and i'm very nervous! My border collie has reached the highest level at our obedience club and she has been working really well. But what concerns me is that she can get distracted with new dogs and people (she just LOVES people). I'm worried she is going to be to distracted by all the people that she will not focus on me. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
RubyStar
I'd be taking her down to obedience trials prior to entering and doing some training with her around all the trial distractions. There is no rush to trial if you feel you aren't ready, better to proof around as many distractions as you can find to give you both the best shot for a stress-free trial, than add extra stress to her before she's ready for the environment :) Best of luck!!
