trifecta
I really love that Joe from Thailand on Etsy. I didn't know you could get that much detail with charcoal, I certainly haven't when I've mucked about with it. I've noticed there's some really talented Asian artists, alot coming out of China now too. The last 2 times I went to the Archies there were several artists from China with amazingly detailed paintings. I have to agree about Joe, this one is exquisite! http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/151531955/let-me-draw-portrait-of-your-pet-custom?ref=listing-shop-header-0 ETA Have a look at the last view, where the photograph of the model is shown. Bundyburger
My friend does portraits. She is wonderful. http://www.saraagnew.com/testimonials.html The vizsla is my dogs sister(I had it commissioned for the breeder) and it matches the photo perfectly and is stunning in real life. Saving my pennies to get both my boys done.
Rozzie
She has no price list. That turned me off straight away, though I do like that hers are traditionally drawn.

Kirislin
Deidre Hunt does amazing watercolours. My friends have several of hers but they aren't cheap. I dont think she has a web site, but I found this page compiled I think by a former DOLer Chezzyr! http://www.pbase.com/chezzyr/dhunt_art_misc also found this page. The cat and the labrador with cat are by her, just move your cursor over the images http://www.barbarahiggins.com.au/animals2.html Edited June 30, 2013 by Kirislin

Mim
DobieMum have you had a portrait done yet? After posting in here I decided to knuckle down and choose photos of two of my previous dogs to get drawn by Joe and they arrived today. These are bad photos taken on my phone and the pictures are in plastic sleeves until I frame them but when you're up close the detail is just great. Mim
Anne, with the US$ stronger than ours they were about $57 each. I am so happy with them, everyone I've shown has loved them too.

Mim
That price is very reasonable! How big are they? They're 8"x11" but there are different sizes available.
